Google is in the process of developing an enhanced version of its AI chatbot, Bard, referred to as ‘Bard Advanced.’ This upgraded iteration, powered by Gemini Ultra, Google’s latest large language model, is slated to be accessible through a subscription-based service on Google One.

Features of Bard Advanced

Bard Advanced is positioned as a more capable large language model equipped with improved math and reasoning skills. Although the feature is still in the development phase, users can anticipate exploring diverse topics and leveraging advanced capabilities with Bard.

Availability and Subscription

Google intends to provide a complimentary 3-month trial of ‘Bard Advanced’ through Google One. Following the trial period, users may be required to subscribe to Google One for continued access to the advanced features offered by Bard.

Developer Tools

Last month, Google unveiled Gemini Pro, its large language model, designed for developers and enterprises to create sophisticated applications. The company also launched Google AI Studio, a free web-based tool facilitating developers in generating prompts and obtaining API keys for streamlined app development.

Access to Gemini Pro

Developers currently enjoy free access to Gemini Pro and Gemini Pro Vision through Google AI Studio. This includes accommodating up to 60 requests per minute, catering to various app development requirements.

Future Plans

Google has outlined its future plans, including the upcoming launch of Gemini Ultra, its most capable model tailored for complex tasks, within the next year. The company is committed to refining the model, conducting safety testing, and soliciting feedback from partners before the official release. Additionally, Google aims to extend Gemini to more developer platforms such as Chrome and Firebase.
