Google Search Displays Trust Scores from APIVoid and ScamAdviser in Knowledge Panels
Google appears to be testing a new feature in its search results: displaying trust scores from APIVoid and ScamAdviser for certain website entities within the knowledge panel. This feature, while not available for all sites, provides users with additional insights into a website’s trustworthiness, based on evaluations from these third-party sources.
In a recent search for the entity “GoogleWatchBlog,” Google displayed trust scores from both APIVoid and ScamAdviser. The results showed a 90% trust score from APIVoid and a 75% trust score from ScamAdviser. This integration allows users to quickly gauge the credibility of a website directly from the search results page.
This new feature was first noticed by Valentin Pletzer, who shared the ScamAdviser example on X. The addition of these scores aligns with Google’s ongoing efforts to provide users with more transparency about online content, especially in a time when trustworthiness and security are crucial.
The display of trust scores, however, does not appear across all websites and entities, suggesting that this feature may still be in the testing phase or limited to specific entities.
